JordanRock Instruction is held at a professional rehearsal studio in north Sacramento, or at your home ($35). The studio is furnished with a complete set of rock instruments for an entire band. Lessons are personalized and structured around the goals, needs and abilities of each individual student.
Beginning level sessions focus on introductory theory (everything you need to know to start playing with others), rhythm training, common rock, pop and blues progressions, and chordal structure. With this foundation each musician will be ready to start playing in a band. Jordan’s numeric approach to teaching music theory ensures that everyone can understand the concepts quickly and easily.
There is more to being in a band than just playing your instrument, so teaching carries over into the other aspects of live performance. Setting up a live stage, familiarity with other instruments, being able to follow other musicians in a jam session…. Virtually all dimensions of being in a band are covered.
Advanced bass guitar lessons include developed rock and funk techniques such as slap, pop, tap, and chords. Examples of these styles can be heard on the music samples page. Students who take this training will be able to play with anyone, anywhere in any situation. JordanRock Instruction will make you the musician everyone wants in their band - guaranteed.
JordanRock also does band coaching and mentoring. With all the necessary equipment set up at the studio, band members need only bring themselves. Band coaching focuses on playing together as a unit, songwriting, how to get the most out of rehearsals, and live performance. An absolute MUST for any band starting out.
